Special Education
Individualised teaching in functional academics, concept building and school readiness for children with diverse learning needs.
Families in Navi Mumbai no longer need to travel to one place for a special educator, another for an occupational therapist and a third for speech therapy. At Anvi, education and therapy sit under one roof and work from one plan for every child.
We support children with intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language delays and other developmental needs.
Every child starts with a careful assessment — what they can already do, what they are ready to learn next, and what the family needs at home. From there we build a plan the child can actually follow, and we revise it as the child grows.
No ready-made syllabus.
Notes after every session.
Education and therapy delivered by qualified special educators and therapists, coordinated around a single plan for each child.
Individualised teaching in functional academics, concept building and school readiness for children with diverse learning needs.
Hands-on training for parents so that learning continues at home, where the child spends most of their time.
One-to-one time with a special educator, focused on the specific goals a child needs extra support to reach.
Sensory integration, motor development and daily-living skills, so the child can manage their own body and their own day.
Assessment and therapy for speech sound production, fluency, voice, oral-motor control and feeding difficulties.
Building the ability to understand and to be understood — with speech where possible, and with alternatives where it is not.
Structured, evidence-based strategies to reduce challenging behaviour and build the skills that replace it.
A private, unhurried space for families to talk about what this journey actually feels like.
Work-readiness training for older students, so adulthood brings independence rather than dependence.
Gardening, yoga, painting, therapy and outings — a glimpse of an ordinary, joyful day at our centre.
The clearest measure of our work is what changes at home.
Dear Priyanka mam & team,
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful efforts your team has put in during this semester. I have seen great progress in my son, especially in learning daily routine skills and becoming more confident and independent.
The dedication, patience, and care shown by all the teachers and staff truly make a positive difference in the children’s lives. It’s evident how much thought and effort go into making learning both effective and enjoyable for them.
Anvi Intervention Centre in Kamothe has played a very important role in my daughter Anaya's overall development, as the centre works in all areas — physical, behaviour, academic and social interaction. Due to their hard work and constant support my daughter has started writing, and her social interaction with her peers has increased, as they also provide circle time wherein kids sing rhymes and play games. A big thanks to Ankur sir, Priyanka mam and their team, as they have been there for parents in their journey and have supported us with their advice and guidance, and most importantly their helpful nature.
Six months back, we visited the Anvi Foundation and thought about joining. Now, after six months, we realise that our decision to join the Anvi Foundation was the best. We saw various improvements in our child and the results are really like a miracle. Teachers are putting in their best possible effort for the children's improvement. We heartfully appreciate and respect their efforts.
I must appreciate the efforts taken by you all for our children. Teaching normal kids, everyone can do it. But teaching and conducting training sessions and activities for such special kids is really a daunting task. Not everyone can do this. My son learned many things in your centre — to name a few, especially chewing and eating food on his own. The extra knowledge you provide by conducting regular PTMs, workshops and sessions for the parents, and information on medical facilities, is really helpful to us.
