In the harshness of winter or the scorch of summer, thousands of people across urban slums, roadside shelters, and railway platforms survive without the most basic protection — clothing. Torn shirts, bare feet, children wrapped in old sacks — this is not just a picture of poverty, it’s a daily reality for many. At Anvi Foundation, we believe clothing is a human right — not a luxury. Our Cloth Distribution is dedicated to collecting and distributing clean, wearable clothes to those who need them the most. A blanket to an elderly woman. A pair of shoes for a school-going child. A warm sweater for someone sleeping on the sidewalk. Each item, when given with care, restores dignity and comfort.
Clothes are often the least donated, but most needed. While many initiatives focus on food or shelter, clothing gets overlooked — especially for the poor who lack even a change of clothes or protection against changing seasons. Our initiative focuses not just on giving away garments, but ensuring dignity in what we give. That’s why all clothing is checked, sorted, cleaned, and distributed with respect — not as leftover charity, but as thoughtful relief.
Our distribution zones include:
Street-side dwellers and elderly near temples or bus stands
Kids in low-income bastis and construction sites
Hospital attendants sleeping outside wards
Roadside vendors during winter and monsoon
Women in shelter homes needing seasonal clothes
We also conduct special drives during winters, festivals, and school re-openings.
